His background is tailor-made for insurance recruiting ... senior executive experience in the Property and Casualty industry ... industrial/ organizational psychologist ... senior human resources officer expertise ... hundreds of thousands of evaluative interviews since 1975. His focus is primarily on senior management and executive level search.Prior to founding Burkholder Group, John was a senior officer for a Dallas-based subsidiary of Great American Insurance Company. He served there initially as senior vice president of human resources and administration and later took national profit and loss responsibility for one of the company's three product groups. |

Throughout his career, John has been responsible for managing the search process for executive, managerial and professional level positions in both administrative and technical functions. His career prior to Great American includes human resources and labor relations assignments with Frito-Lay as well as in the mining and chemical industries with Vulcan Materials. He was also a partner in Berkeley Forums, a media relations firm which trained executives and politicians to handle media interviews under adverse conditions. John earned the Master of Science degree in Industrial/Organizational Psychology from the University of Tennessee in 1974. He received his Bachelor of Arts in 1972 from Wofford College, a private liberal arts school in South Carolina. |
